As the political race starts to heat up, scandals are coming out left and right, and candidates are flipping and flipping like a fish out of water, you are probably wondering “Who should I vote for?”.
Over the years of the Bush administration to the Obama administration our economy has gone to ruins. What once was a strong country is now in a time of despair. We need a president who can help fix our economy and get us back up on top. Someone who believes in freedom. Who believes in our constitution. That certain things should not be determined by one person, but by the states. And someone who actually cares about the people and not the benefits of being a president.
Now I can not tell you who to vote for, but what I can do is express my opinion. Ron Paul for President of 2012.
1.) He believes in freedom and Our constitution. All the wars that our American Forefathers fought were for our freedom. To ensure that the American people would no longer have to live under tyranny and the same rules that they did when they came over from Europe. In the news you can see that out freedom is being messed with. SOPA and PIPA are two ways it was being messed with. Trying to control what you can see and what you can’t see. What you can say and not say. That went against our very first amendment for Freedom of speech. Ron Paul is known for being all about freedom. He believes that our values should be that of what they were meant to be and what we use to stand for.
2.) He is against War. Now I figure some of you people out there are probably like “Oh my Gosh! How can he be against war?! We need war.” Well, sorry to burst that little bubble of yours, but no. We don’t need war. Especially wars that we shouldn’t even be apart of. We have our own problems here in America we need to start working on instead of worrying about what place we should bomb next to get more oil or help a country who has the ability to fight themselves. No more blood shed for reasons that are not justified. Anyway, like I said. He is against war. The wars we have fought have not helped our economy but in fact made it worse. Billions of dollars were spent fighting the war on terror in Iraq. Was it worth it? What did we gain?
3.) He is honest. In these days and times it is very hard to find a person who is actually honest and pretty decent at heart. Ron Paul is just that. Honest and decent. For those of you who don’t really Ron Paul, he was a doctor. In a video that is on youtube an African American man was at the hospital with his wife, no one would treat her and kept ignoring him asking for help. Finally Ron Paul stepped up and help this mans wife to get better. The man said in the video he received no bill in mail and that Ron Paul paid it for him. He didn’t ask Ron Paul to do this, Ron Paul did it out of his own heart. How many politicians can say that? Or even think like that?
4.) He understands economics and even predicted the economic drop. If you have been at youtube lately you may have seen (and probably ignored) the preview video about Ron Paul and how he predicted the economic drop. This was and still is a HUGE hit to the American people. If Ron Paul is elected in we know that he can help the economy get back to the way it was. Rebuild. And survive.
5.) He cares about the people. In videos people have filmed and posted on the web you can see the other choices running for president are trying to be nice and answers questions, but if that person does not agree with that politician than that politician usually gets upset and walks off from the person ignoring them. Ron Paul can be seen talking with and treating possible voters like an equal. He doesn’t pretend he is better than those who are out there. In one video a person who has a disease which makes everything painful for him he asks Mitt Romney what he would do about medical marijuana and Romney says that he doesn’t agree with it and walks off. The same man later on asks Ron Paul about medical marijuana and he says that he will keep medical marijuana where it is. If people need it, then they need it. He doesn’t ignore the man, or gets mad at the man, he shows the man compassion and even lets him know that he will help. He has compassion for the people. I mean, damnit Jim, he was a doctor!
In these times, we need someone who can be a leader. Someone who can help us get back to the top. Someone who cares enough about the country he is sworn in to protect and someone can uphold the constitution. Ron Paul can do just that.
